ECAR Resident Intensive Course on Equine Andrology and Semen Preservation in Vienna

The Section for Artificial Insemination and Embryo Transfer at the Vienna University of Veterinary Sciences is pleased to announce a one-day intensive course on equine andrology and semen preservation, organised in cooperation with ECAR, the European College of Animal Reproduction.
The course aims at Residents of ECAR and ACT and the number of participants is restricted to 20. Interested veterinarians who are not ECAR or ACT residents can be admitted if places are available. Participants will get a state-of-the-art update on andrology in the horse, semen preservation and artificial insemination – both as a preparation for advanced work in this field and for the diplomate examination in animal reproduction/theriogenology.
Lectures and practical demonstration are given by two renowned clinical scientists in veterinary andrology

Dr. Fernando Pena (Dipl. ECAR), University of Extremadura, Spain.
The short course will be held for one full day on 5 September 2012 as a satellite event to the 6th International Symposium on Stallion Reproduction in Vienna (ISSR). The ISSR is held on 6 and 7 September.
Course fee (includes the course, lunch on 5 September and the ISSR welcome reception in the evening of 5 September)
